My methods:
Morning Rain Life & Wellness Coaching

carly india.jpg

The intention of life & wellness coaching is to shift outlook, self-awareness, ego, and self-esteem to step into a higher self that naturally aligns with you want to be in the world.

As a certified Life & Wellness Coach, I have been lucky enough to have practiced with dozens of different life coaching professionals, which showed me various approaches, methods, personalities, presences, and modalities.

Things that I like best about life & wellness coaching:

1). It shifts you out of your narratives.

I hold on to my stories with dear life, aka nesting my narratives. I tell myself stories of my experiences because I am trying to convince myself of them. It could be blaming others, a sadder “glass-half-empty” belief, or what I desire to believe to protect my shame.

Life & wellness coaching is transformative. Walking into a session, you too may have your own narrative to tell. Ultimately, the goal is to dissect the narrative from different viewpoints and question its truth. This builds self-awareness, ownership, and frees you from limitations, assumptions, and judgment. As you share, I may ask questions like:

what could be at risk if you continue this belief?

what else is possible?

what outcome do you desire?

what role do you play in it?

what is within your control?

what do you want to possess that you do not possess now?

2). It is goal-oriented and effective in making lifestyle changes or adjustments.

At the beginning of each session, I will ask you some version of this question:

What do you want to have with this by the end of our session today?

This question tests your intuition. Sometimes, we may get so consumed in the challenge that we are facing that we do not see the light. And yet the answer may be this easy!

Establishing what you want early on in the session creates a road map and as we explore, you will naturally determine what is and is not working to better accomplish what you want. This could be examining thought patterns, clarifying what is most important to you, advocating for what it is that you need, figuring out your next steps, gaining self-compassion, and discovering which habits to add, form, or eliminate.

3). It is teamwork.

Life & wellness coaching is a partnership. It is not a guide / client, sage / pupil dynamic. The tone is friendly, vulnerable, team-oriented, and equal.

As your Life & Wellness Coach, I believe in you. I have also overcome hardships and understand healing is a process. While I do possess the training and mastery in mindfulness and wellness, I also know you too come with your own great successes, strengths, and personal power.

You will heal. You will find inner peace. You will become your highest self. I am your support system along the way.

4). It offers a holistic toolkit of options to play with.

There are so many hands-on modalities that we can bring into life & wellness coaching. I offer many tools to associate your ideas with memory, movement, visuals, and creativity, which taps into the mind in meaningful ways beyond a verbal conversation. Some of these tools include:

-S.M.A.R.T. Goal framework

-Carl Jung inspired simulations for detachment

-Vision boards

-Manifesting exercises

-Affirmations

-Breathwork

-Visualizations (similar to guided meditation, but more like a mental simulation to learn more about self)

-Guided meditation

-Coloring

-Journaling

-Opportunity wheels and wellness worksheets

-Astrology

-Research-based articles and media

-Oracle cards

-Vision board cards

-Spirit animals

5). It is an unbiased safe space.

Life & wellness coaching comes from a place of "not knowing." I do not give advice, project my own experiences onto yours, or solve your problems. You are free to share all your heart's desire as we explore what is in your best interest and move you closer to your truest self.

Class Topic:  Neuroscience-based goal setting

  • Research first!

Studies show goal setting is more effective when we do three things: writing down the goals, visualizing success of the goals, and believing that your goal will be achieved.

Key Term: The RAS, Reticular Activating System, is a part of the brain that is crucial in goal setting – it is what we choose to pay attention to.

“1. Writing goals

RAS gets activated by the simple act of putting our goals in pen

and paper. Seeing our aims written in clear words before us,

feeling the touch of the pen, or engaging in the thinking process

of writing the targets trigger the RAS functions and ensures that

we go for it.

2. Planning goals

The art of imagination is essential when it comes to goal-setting.

Studies have shown that people who have the power to visualize

their goals before setting their actions have a higher activation at

the brain level.

Repeatedly imagining success and reminding ourselves of our

targets maintains a steady stimulation in the RAS and promotes

effective goal-setting (Berkman, Lieberman, 2009).”

3. "…with a strong belief in your desire, and faith that it can happen can help you (Mindful Movement, Manifesting Meditation on YouTube, accessed 2026).”
